COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 RESTRICTION UPDATE

As a result of COVID-19, Plainview Assisted Living implemented extra precautions in order to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy. At this time, as things begin to open back up, Plainview will be adjusting these precautions with the following guidelines as a first step to re-opening our doors.

Family Visits:

Private Dining Room:

A COVID-19 point of entry rapid test must be completed with negative results before visitation. If point of entry testing is not available, visitors will be required to be tested on their own within 72 hours of coming to the facility and require proof of negative test results upon entry. Temperatures must be taken upon entering; results are required to be below 100.4°F. You must wash in/out upon entering and leaving the building. All visitors must sign in/out of our guest log book. A mask must be worn at all times during visitation by both the resident and their visitor(s). Visitors must maintain at least 6 feet of separation from the residents. A maximum of 2 people will be allowed per visit, and visits will be limited to a one hour time frame. Only one family will be allowed in the building during the same time frame. Visitors must be 13 years of age or older. (Visits must be scheduled with Plainview Staff in advance)

Time frames are as follows: 9:00am-10:00am, 10:00am-11:00am, 1:00pm-2:00pm, 3:00pm-4:00pm, 6:00pm-7:00pm

It is still strongly discouraged for families to take residents out of the facility, as they are at such a high risk level. If residents are taken out, they will be required to wear a mask at all times. Residents that are taken out of facility will also be expected to follow the facilities policies upon returning.

We understand that in-person visits are important to not only our residents, but to our families as well. And although a full reopening has been long awaited, we still need for everyone to do their part in protecting everyone inside the building. We are by all means excited for the opportunity to have more family interaction, and will be going into these first stages of reopening with both hope and caution. We look forward to seeing you and thank you in advance for abiding by these new guidelines.

However, if any of the above guidelines are not followed, your visit will promptly end and you will be asked to leave the facility. As always, the health, safety, and well-being of our residents, visitors, and staff is our number one priority. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Let’s all do our part in stopping the spread of infection and keeping our loved ones healthy!
